Kiyzassky Mine is one of the most dynamically developing coal enterprises in Kuzbass. This year marks the 10th anniversary of the mine’s launch, just two years after obtaining its mining license. The Kiyzassky Open-Pit Mine provides a great deal ofcommunity assistance to the Myskovsky Urban District and its residents and maintains a long-term program that supports the region’s indigenous people – the Shors.
The Kiyzassky Open-Pit Mine extracts coal at the Uregolsky and Uregolsky 5-6 sites.
As of January 1, 2024, the company’s balance reserves, amount to 97.6 million tonnes.
The company pays particular attention to environmental issues.
The company is constantly expanding its fleet of eco-friendly vehicles. Today, the mine operates three Russian-made electric EKG-12K excavators, Sany hybrid dump trucks with a load capacity of 150 tonnes, and methane-powered SHACMAN X3000 and FAW J6 dump trucks with load capacities of 32 tonnes.
To minimize the company’s environmental impact, the coal loading railway station was equipped with six TF10 EmiControlsdust suppression units and a unique Brent dust suppression system that reduces dusting when loading coal into wagons. There are also five other dust suppression systems at the station, as well as a noise- and dust-absorbing screen, 250 meters in length and 10 meters in width. Some 5,000 pyramidal poplars have been planted alongside the station as well.
Additionally, the company constantly monitors environmental indicators and regularly observes blasting operations with the participation of independent experts as an integral part of its environmental management system.
The Kiyzassky Open-Pit Mine is one of the largest taxpayers in the region. The company supports the region’s small indigenous ethnic group – the Shors. With support of the Kiyzassky Open-Pit Mine, the Ene Tag Spiritual Center was built and four Shor language textbooks for grades 1-4 were published, etc.
The company provides assistance to the Myskovsky Urban District within and beyond its agreement on socio-economic partnership. With the support of the company, renovations have been carried out on the Olymp sports and recreation complex, the Mercury sports complex, an art space in the central city library, etc.
The Kiyzassky Open-Pit Mine was the winner of the KuzbassBrand-2021 competition in the Industrial Production category.
