Open-Pit Mine Kiyzassky Signed an Agreement with the Development of Mountain Shoria Charitable Foundation
The primary purpose of the agreement is to establish cooperation on the development of the sites of traditional residence of the Shors
The document was signed by Andrey Borschevich, General Director of Open-Pit Mine Kiyzassky, and Yury Kastarakov, General Director of the Development of Mountain Shoria Charitable Foundation. The agreement was signed for a three-year term. Within this period the mining company will give 4,5 million rubles to the Fund.
The key events planned for 2019-2021 are the construction of sports and cultural sites, the financing of cultural and recreational activities of Shapkai National Award, the construction of an ecocentre in the village of Chuvashka. It is the place where everyone will have a chance to get acquainted with the life and lifestyle of the Shors. “It’s our duty to develop the territory where the company operates and to improve the life of the local residents”, said Andrey Borschevich, General Director of Open-Pit Mine Kiyzassky.
Nikita Shulbaev, President of the Shoria Association of the Shor People; Dmitry Ivanov, the Head of Myski district; Evgeny Timofeev, the Head of the Council of National Deputies of Myski district, were the special guests of the event.
“Open-Pit Mine Kiyzassky is the only mining company which has the agreement with the Shors. This cooperation helps to implement different projects and events which are of great importance for our people”, said Yury Kastarakov, General Director of the Development of Mountain Shoria Charitable Foundation.
According to Nikita Shulbaev, President of the Shoria Association of the Shor People, it is an example of a socially responsible business.
