At School № 3, the exterior and interior walls are being strengthened, a drainage system is being installed, skirting is being built around the ground floor, and old wooden windows and doors are being replaced with plastic ones. The improvements will be completed by mid-August.
Plans for major renovation work on School № 6 has been completed, as was required for it to be included in the regional ‘My New School’ program. The school’s façade will be repaired, its interior will be remodeled, and its utility systems will be replaced. After renovation, the building will have modern classrooms with new furniture, and the school grounds will be completely landscaped.
“The Kiyzassky Open-Pit Mine is a reliable partner in creating a comfortable urban environment,” said Robert Aponkin, deputy head of national policy and social issues for the Myskovsky City District. “Schools № 3 and 6 are among Myski’s first schools. They were opened in the middle of the last century, and it's time for them to be renovated. We asked the company’s management for help, and we were heard and supported. Work is already underway. By the beginning of the school year, schools will open their doors and once again lead students to new knowledge!” he added.
