Kiyzassky Open-Pit Mine Expands Its SANY Hybrid Dump Truck Fleet
The company currently employs five Sany dump trucks with load capacities of 150 tonnes
Russia’s first Chinese-made Sany hybrid dump truck, which was put into operation at the Kiyzassky Open-Pit Mine in January of this year, has demonstrated high efficiency. Four more identical pieces of equipment were subsequently put into operation.
Thanks to electric motors, Sany dump trucks are environmentally friendly. The Chinese-made vehicle operates in a mixed mode – two electric motors, each with a capacity of 2,600 kW/h, are simultaneously powered by high-voltage batteries with a capacity of 380 kW/h and two diesel engines with a rated power of 565 horsepower. When the truck is braking, its electric motor works as a generator, replenishing the energy in the battery. This innovative technology will significantly reduce harmful emissions into the atmosphere.
These dump trucks are equipped with a variety of digital systems and sensors, as well as outdoor surveillance cameras and other modern equipment that makes the operation of heavy-duty vehicles safe, efficient, and comfortable.
The new vehicles were provided to the Kiyzassky Open-Mine by Service Plus.
