‘New Life’ Program Sees Second Set of Twins
Four families from Myski in which Shor children were born have received newborn gift sets from Kiyzassky Open Pit Mine. Each set of 33 items is presented as part of the ‘New Life’ project, which was launched by the company in 2024. Diapers, clothing, blankets, baby dishes, hygiene products, and much more have been included in the kits given to Shor couples from Myski for the second year in a row in honor of the birth of their children. Since the start of the project, 21 families have received gifts – welcoming a total of 23 babies – and another family will be presented with a set in the near future.
The gifts were presented to the Korchunov, Babushkin, Mityanin, and Tannagashev families in a festive setting. The last family stood out, as they welcomed twins. This is already the second family participating in the project to have twins. Very soon, a gift set will also be presented to the Kauchakov family.
Dmitry and Anastasia Tannagashev were twice as lucky — having given birth to twin girls, who each received a set. The couple now has four children: an adult daughter, Yana; a high-school-age son, Nikita; and their two newborn daughters, Angelina and Evelina. The Tannagashevs joke that it’s almost time to prepare for grandchildren, but they nevertheless decided to have a third child. At the early stage of pregnancy, an ultrasound revealed twins, which both delighted and slightly alarmed the expectant parents. But with the support of Kiyzassky Open Pit Mine, all difficulties became easier to handle.
Anastasia Tannagasheva acknowledged that the company’s assistance came just in time: “The last time I cared for a newborn was 16 years ago. It’s frightening to think how much time has passed. And now I’m a mother again, with a pile of responsibilities – changing diapers, mixing formula, feeding, rocking, singing lullabies. And not with one baby, but two at once. So, the worries are double. Of course, everyone helps me, but it’s overwhelming. You need to find time to buy diapers, clothes, and everything else. The gift set from the company really saved us! Thank you so much! It was unexpected and absolutely essential for our little princesses.”
All participants in the project agree that no matter how much you prepare for a child’s birth, the strain on the family budget always increases. That’s why the company’s support provides meaningful help in the first months after the baby’s arrival – and has even inspired some to think about having another child.
