15 hectares of trees were planted as part of the reclamation work

Sixty thousand seedlings of cedar and Siberian pine were planted on the territory bordering the mining allotment in April and May. The company spent 2 million rubles on creating new green spaces.

“The company undertakes large-scale planting every year,” said Nina Lipatova, head of Kiyzassky Open-Pit Mine's Environmental Protection Department. —  More than 100,000 coniferous and deciduous trees have been planted in the last three years».

New planting is planned in the autumn. This year Open-pit Mine Kiyzassky will also release 18 thousand juvenile muksun into the Verkhneobsky water basin, and the members of the “Kiyzass” voluntary group will distribute oak seedlings with instructions on planting and care in Myski.
